Type "best halal burger in Boston" into Google and you get directories. Yelp filters, map pins, a TikTok tag. Lists tell you who paid attention to their listing. They don't tell you who makes the best burger.
So here's a different kind of proof. FRIES B4 GUYS is a fully halal kitchen at 485 Cambridge Street in Allston. As of July 24, 2026 it holds a 4.9-star average across 404 Google reviews. Of the 42 most recent written reviews, 27 talk about the burger. All 27 are five-star. And 15 of them call it the best, or the juiciest, they've had. We didn't write those reviews. There are exactly two, on purpose. A short burger menu means both get made in volume, all day, by people who have made thousands of them. Both use the same prime halal beef and the same bun baked that morning. The difference is the direction they take it.

Combos come with our hand-cut Dutch-style fries and one of the 8 in-house sauces, which is its own reason to visit. One reviewer this month ordered the classic medium and described it better than we could:

04Why it tastes like that
None of the praise in section 02 is luck. It comes from four decisions that cost more and take longer, made daily.
- The beef.Prime halal beef from a halal-certified butcher, delivered fresh and ground the same morning it's used. Nothing pre-packaged, nothing carried over.
- The bun.Baked in our kitchen every morning. Walk in at noon and they're still warm.
- The sauces.All 8 made in-house. The signature FRIES B4 GUYS sauce went through about 10 rounds of testing before Chef Ahmet let it near a burger.
- The fire.Thick patties over an open flame, 4 to 5 minutes. Char outside, juice inside. That's the line reviewers keep repeating back at us.

Honest answer: our burgers are not smashed. A smash burger is pressed thin on a flat-top for lacy, crispy edges. Ours go the other way. Thick patties over open flame, built for a juicy center under real char.
